Consultancy
REAP has a broad range of experience and skills which can be utilised to good effect to meet the needs of client groups.
REAP has a commitment to, and a firm belief in, the use of participatory approaches to information gathering and dissemination. We recognise the need to engage with stakeholders in different ways and are experienced in using creative and sensitive approaches to do so. The innovative use of electronic voting equipment, for example, has enabled a wide range of stakeholders to be engaged in the consultation and encourages greater participation from sections of the community frequently left out of other forms of consultation.
While we aim to bring our experience, skills and expertise to each consultancy, we value the experience and local knowledge of our clients. We believe it is important to ensure that the project itself and the methods of working take these into account.
Previous work has encompassed community development, community consultation, facilitation of meetings and workshops, social accounting, external evaluation, research, feasibility studies, carbon footprinting and hosting workshops on sustainability, renewable energy and other environmental themes. We have worked with various groups including children and youth groups, sports clubs, businesses, community groups, women’s groups and groups for older people in the community.
The approach taken by REAP has ensured we have a reputation for delivering a product which more than meets client expectations. We have the capability to combine creativity and innovation with a passion for sustainability and community development which ensures we produce work of a high standard while retaining our ability to communicate in plain English.
Current and previous clients include: NHS Grampian, Cairngorms National Park, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, the Moray Council and Aberdeenshire Council.
