Project Information
Our Home Insulation Team will be helping householders cut their energy costs and also cut their carbon emissions. With the rise in energy prices and the severe winters that we’ve had, more and more people are finding it hard to keep their homes warm. Insulation can really help to keep heat indoors, making the house warmer and less expensive to heat. It can also help with condensation problems and reduce our use of fuel.
We have contracted Carillion Energy Services to carry out surveys and install both loft and cavity wall insulation where suitable. Installation will be free for many people and we have negotiated a discounted price for clients ineligible for grants.
For every home insulated, Carillion will be providing an owl energy monitor (worth £40), for free, or will charge £10 for clients ineligible for grants. They can also draught proof external doors for £20 per door – people eligible for grants can have one done for free!
The Insulation Team will be following up with householders to make sure people are happy with the results and are looking for 6 case studies to track their experience and record their savings. So if anyone thinks they need insulation and would like to take part in a case study then please get in touch.
We will be organising events and advice sessions in each of these communities over the coming months and will be working with schools to raise awareness of energy use and carbon emissions.
